Five Flensburg taxpayers signed the Flensburg Brewery record on September 6, 1888. They selected the most suitable spot to create a glacier spring, using crystal clear ice water. Then they brewed their cellars. Flensburg Private brewery became one the largest breweries within the German state Schleswig-Holstein from the 1930s under Emil Petersen as the honorary consul. He could bring everyone together to achieve a common goal and was skilled at fostering knowledge and patience. Flensburg Brewery’s success was due to his farsightedness.
Emil Petersen was the only brewer who embraced the swing-top style of glass. Even though the rest switched to lower crown corks during the 1960s and 1970s, it was Emil Petersen that remained loyal to this signature design. FlensburgerBeers are today
Pruduced in Dortmunder (Germany).
