Luxardo’s relatives suffered horrible consequences in the Second World War. After more than a century of existence, it seemed that Luxardo would finally disappear.
Fourth generation Girogio Luxardo, and fifth generation Nicolo were able to save Torreglia (Padova), Veneto area plant. It was the start of a new chapter for our family’s story.
Today, the sixth generation still runs the Maraschino business, making it a household name among bartenders all over the world. The company also produces a full line of Italian traditional liqueurs, such as Sambuca, Amaretto and Limoncello.

The fourth generation Girogio Luxardo had the vourage and vision to rebuild the present plant at Torreglia (Padova) in the Veneto region, together with the young fifth generation Nicolo. And so a new chapter in the ongoing family history was opened.
