Asahi Super Dry Japan Beer
With the launch of Asahi Super Dry, a new beer genre emerged in Japan, and then globally.
Japanese beers were historically harsh and did not pair well with food. So, after much investigation, Asahi created Asahi Super Dry in 1987.
They made a beer that would have a crisp, dry flavor and a quick, clean finish, so that they could enjoy it with friends. A flavor that satisfies not only thirst, but also curiosity. As a result, it was named Karakuchi (dry). A beer that will eventually become Japan’s most popular.

Flavour Asahi Super Dry is inspired by sake brewing techniques and is dry and crisp with a fast, clean finish. Our distinctive flavor is referred as as “Karakuchi.”
Food Combination: Asahi Super Dry offers a smooth, clear, and crisp flavor that pairs well with a range of dishes. Here are some examples of food styles: Sushi, seafood, and salads are examples of light yet flavorful foods. Rich and spicy foods like Japanese food, especially starters, sausages, and curries. Desserts made with citrus fruits, such as cheesecake and creme brulee, as well as citrus desserts.
Keep at 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the fridge. Pour into a clean glass at a 45-degree angle, ensuring a 2-cm head forms on top of the beer.
Under the supervision of Japanese master brewers, Asahi Super Dry is produced with precision and to the highest quality standards, using its original 1987 formula.
At our brewery, we’re always looking for new ways to improve our production methods and quality control measures. This dedication to innovation helped us spread Asahi Super Dry worldwide.
