Chapelle de Potensac 2015 – Médoc 75cl, in a Wooden Gift Box

It has a perfumed bouquet with blackberry, raspberry coulis and cold stone scents, powered by ripe Merlot.
The palate is medium-bodied with slightly edgy, grainy tannin, a keen line of acidity and an attractive, cedar-infused finish. The 2015 Chapelle de Potensac is a blend of 71% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, matured in 10% new oak.
The 2015 Chapelle de Potensac is a lovely second wine from Château Potensac, the Delon family’s Haut-Médoc estate. Château Potensac is generally recognized as one of the major growths of the Médoc appellation. Moreover, it is the only one, at the classification of Crus Bourgeois of 2003 of the Médoc appellation, to have been classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.
La Chapelle de Potensac was created and released by Jean-Hubert Delon in 2002. This elegant wine made with respect for tradition has a very good balance based on roundness and freshness.
The vineyard of Chapelle de Potensac is composed as follows: 56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The yield is about 44 hectoliter per hectare on a clay-limestone soil typical of this appellation.
