Cockburn’s is the market leading Port brand in the UK. LBV Ports are wines of a single very good year that age in large oak vats for 4-6 years until they reach the perfect level of maturity. LBV’s are then bottled and ready to be enjoyed. Cockburn’s LBV is a rich and full-bodied Port wine, perfect to serve at the end of a fine lunch or dinner.
A deep ruby colour, this wine has an excellent nose of ripe red fruits. On the palate it is powerful, with intense flavours of blackcurrant and jammy notes. A great balance between fruit, acidity and firm tannins leads to a long, elegant, and slightly drier finish. Cockburn’s LBV also pairs wonderfully with chocolate desserts and hard cheeses.
