El Grillo y La Luna (‘The Cricket and the Moon’) is a family company that was founded in Barbastro in 2007 with the intention of making wines with a soul and a special character.
“Patience” is the slogan of this winery, we are waiting for the optimal ripeness of each grape variety in each vineyard.
Good things come to us who wait at El Grillo and La Luna. Since we agree that good wine begins in the vineyards, our wines are made in an unpredictable way, preserving the individuality of and vintage as much as possible, and are only sold when they are ready.
Undoubtedly, it is their aging that distinguishes the wines from this Somontano winery.
With 53 hectares of vineyards, this is one of the smaller wineries in the Aragon D.O. Here, the whole crop is harvested and hand-picked. The date of harvest is not laid down in the legislation, but decided by going out to the vineyards and testing the grapes.
