Fatalone Riserva 2010 is a natural DOC wine (100% Primitivo grapes) in Gioia del Colle that the Puglia area of south-west Italy. This wonderful crimson was awarded both the prestigious Decanter Bronze decoration and Le Corone 2015 ViniBuoni d’Italia. It obtained a potential 91 out of 100 points on Wine-Searcher and Wine Align. This is one of our favorite Italian red wines that we love to present to our pals!
This is a organic wine, fermented with native yeast and aged 12 months in stainless steel tanks, 12 months in oak casks and 6 months in bottle. Intense ruby red in color with little burgundy colors, it’s a odor standard of quite ripe fruits and somewhat toasted spices and wood with a few balsamic notes. Full bodied, rich in minerality and freshness, the balanced smooth flavor of black cherry and plum will velvety with mature fruity notes of blackberry and mulberry, and spices such as clove and ginger. The characteristic that makes this wine unique is how your toasted almond aftertaste.
This Primitivo goes nicely with strong flavored dishes like pasta with meat sauce, roast beef, grilled fish, poultry and green cheese. Additionally wonderful with dark chocolates.
