That is The Waterford: our oldest whisky so far at 6 years of age, conceptually impressed by means of Bordeaux’s biggest chateaux as the entire is bigger than the sum of it’s portions, marrying terroir derived flavours for final complexity
Maturation in a mixture of the most productive French and American Oak: together with barrels from the Grand Crus of Bordeaux, Virgin and primary fill American oak and likewise Vin Doux Naturel
This bottling includes a bespoke label, commissioned from artist Nathanael Koffi; herbal color and non-kick back filtered
Tasting notes: nose of white pepper, grated lemon peel, lapsang tea leaf, hint of herbs, cola cubes and sherbert powder supply strategy to a flavour at the palate of aniseed, spices, tobacco leaf, summer season culmination, strawberry pavlova with a protracted end of dry spiciness and dried culmination
