A pale beer’s colour ranges between light brown and almost transparent. It also contains alcohol levels of 4 to 6 percent. Although the beer may contain all malt, supplementation can sometimes be very high. Carbonation is usually, but not always forced. The one thing that does not change is the fact that hops and malt don’t really make an impact on the taste buds. These beers have no character. However, there may appear to be a few traces of malt or hops. High gravity beers are likely to have maize attachments, and higher alcohol (gas) notes due to their use. It will have a thin, watery body and a dry finish.
