Produced only in top vintages (the first was in 1924) the Riserva is one of the most representative wines of the winery and best expresses the varietal characteristics of Sangiovese.
It’s an intense ruby colour with aromas of ripe red fruits, followed by hints of tobacco, black pepper and sweet wood. The palate is savoury with morello cherry, licorice and clove with tannins that blend in well with the fruity component.
Long lasting finish and, like the Gran Selezione, it can stand up to full flavoured dishes such as grilled meats, roasts and ripe cheese.
