Oloroso Don Jose has an old gold colour with a well-rounded pungent nutty nose showing hints of spice, old leather and coffee. Immediately nutty on the palate, but with a tangy freshness that belies its age. Long and well balanced with a crisp finish.
Aged in excess of 18 years in solera.
Serve at ambinet temperature in a nice wine glass with a bowl of nuts; preferably brazil nuts, wlanuts and hazelnuts!
Sanchez Romate Old and Plus Pedro Ximinez has a dark mahogany, very dense colour. Smooth, delicate, raisins with hints of oak aromas. It has very sweet, unctuous, raisiny flavours and is velvet smooth. It is created in Jerez, Spain. It comes with the vintage information as follows – Ageing: +8 years.
A very very old Pedro Ximenez. The tasting suggests something that could have spent half a century in solera.
